Form and Content and Photos!!

Where are they?? Some of you have been doing them, most of you have not!

Gotta keep on them. They count toward your final grade.

Also, if you haven't already, start getting your notebooks organized. I need to see process on these projects and they will need to get turned in at the end of the semester too.

PSA and Stuff.

For Wednesday, (4-7-10) have your three scenarios for the PSA worked out with a little more detail. Do not go too far with them. We need to review your three and determine the best to take to completion.

For those of us struggling with Flash, if you log in to the Zipline, there is a link in there for Atomic Learning tutorials. I haven't checked, but my guess is there will be at least one in there for Flash. I plan on checking it out soon.

Keep up on the Form and Content, photos and your notebooks. All of those need to be completed by the end of the semester.

Type Specimen Project

For Wednesday:

We need to see some pretty tight roughs for the additional pieces to this project.

- Box Concepts

- CD Booklet

- Spine and Back Cover (for jewel case)

- CD Label

Your Type Specimen books should be done by now.

Create a PDF file of your book that can be copied by your classmates for their CDs. Use a high resolution setting when generating the PDF.

Everything (four pieces listed above and your book) is due Monday, March 29.

For Wednesday March 3, we will continue working on the books and I am planning on introducing the box that you will construct and design the graphics for. I should have a template Wednesday.

For Friday, March 5, bring in a completed type specimen book for a small group critique.

On-Going Projects:

Form & Content: These need to be type dominant. Make sure it is a reputable source for image and content.

Photographs: Minimum of 45 photos (total for the semester). How type is used in our environment. What emotion does each example evoke? Simply state the emotion.

Please begin posting them to your blog sites and I will check them there. Let's save some paper!

Notebook: A running diary of the class.
